Politeknik Enjinering Indorama (PEI) successfully celebrated Founder’s Day 2026 as a special moment to commemorate the 74th birthday of our Founder, Mr. Sri Prakash Lohia. The celebration officially began with the Founder’s Day Opening Ceremony on 22 July 2026, attended by the entire PEI academic community and Yayasan Pendidikan Indorama. The celebration continued with a series of exciting internal competitions designed to strengthen teamwork, sportsmanship, creativity, and togetherness across the PEI community.
The internal sports competitions designed to promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition, featured table tennis, futsal, volleyball, basketball, and chess. The competitions created an energetic atmosphere across the campus while strengthening interaction and camaraderie among participants from different study programs and units. In addition to sports competitions, Founder’s Day featured several competitions that encouraged students to develop and showcase their creativity and communication skills, including Business Pitching, Content Creator, and PEI Got Talent. These activities provided students with opportunities to demonstrate their entrepreneurial thinking, creativity, communication skills,confidence, and individual talents.
The celebration reached its peak with the Founder’s Day Closing Celebration on 6 August 2026, which welcomed approximately 400 SMA/SMK students, teachers, and prospective students to the PEI campus. The event began with an energetic Fun Walk, which was enthusiastically joined by all invited guests and participants. The activity created a lively atmosphere and brought everyone together before the main celebration began.
The closing celebration was filled with exciting performances, entertainment, award presentations, and door prizes. A total of 74 prizes were distributed to participants, symbolizing the Founder’s 74th birthday. The highlight was the grand prize of a one-door refrigerator, won by a Grade 12 student from SMA Babakancikao Purwakarta
Congratulations to all participants and winners, especially the Manufacturing Engineering Study Program, which was crowned the Overall Champion of the Sports Competitions. More than a celebration, Founder’s Day 2026 became a meaningful moment to strengthen the spirit of togetherness, creativity, sportsmanship, and achievement within the PEI community while building stronger connections with the wider education community.
